Application Process
Job-seekers can find open positions listed on the company website, or on Aderant’s LinkedIn profile. Available jobs are all listed under their location. Applications can be submitted through the website, and can also be accessed through LinkedIn.
Telephone Screening
If your application seems to align well with the job description, you will be contacted for a brief telephone interview. During this call, the recruiter will find out if you are still interested in the position. If you are, they will ask you questions about your job history and experience. You may also ask any questions you may have during this time. You will also have the next step of the hiring process explained to you, and you will be sent a link to the pre-hire assessments.
Psychometric Tests
Aderant has high expectations of their candidates and to be considered for an interview applicants must meet certain standards. To find the best applicants, assessment tests are given to find the candidates with the strongest critical thinking skills and personalities that are best suited to work at Aderant.
Aderant’s CCAT Test
The CCAT, Criteria Cognitive Assessment Test is made up of 50 multiple-choice questions. You will be given only 15 minutes to complete the test. These questions, which provide insight into your critical thinking and problem-solving skills, are divided into three different categories.
- Verbal Skills – Strong communication skills are very important. To test your verbal communication abilities you will be asked questions that test your vocabulary, ability to interpret a sentence, and understanding of language.
- Math and Logic – Your ability to work with numbers and problem solve will be measured through the use of basic algebra equations, word problems, and proportions. Calculators are prohibited when taking the CCAT.
- Spatial Reasoning – To measure your abstract reasoning skills, spatial reasoning questions are included on the CCAT. You will need to identify the pattern in a sequence, manipulate shapes, and find which part in a pattern does not fit.
Personality Test
Employees with personalities that fit in well with the culture of their company have a higher chance of success. For this reason, Aderant gives job-seekers a personality questionnaire as part of the pre-employment assessments. The personality test will show insight into the test taker’s motivations, work-style preference, integrity, judgment, and ability to work on a team.
Interviews
If your test scores are high enough to allow you to continue on in the hiring process, you will be contacted for another telephone interview. After this interview, you will be asked for a face-to-face interview. During this interview, you may be asked to take the aptitude tests a second time.
How to Prepare for Aderant’s Assessments?
Your success on the assessment test will determine if you are able to make it as far as the interviews. For this reason, you should take time to study and make sure you are mentally prepared for the online tests. You can sharpen your cognitive skills by using tools such as apps designed to strengthen critical thinking. Word puzzles can help enhance your problem-solving skills, and you should practice simple equations and math word problems so you are comfortable working with them.
If you find that you are having difficulty with any question on the CCAT pick an answer and move on. You will not be penalized for incorrect answers. Since you have a limited time-frame answering as many questions as you can to the best of your ability is the best option.
The personality test does not take intense preparation. You should answer the questions honestly, to give the company a true look at your personality. Consider all the questions as though you already work at the company, and respond as if you are an employee already.
The Aderant hiring process can take some time. If you are prepared for whatever the hiring process may bring, you will be ready to show the hiring team at Aderant that you have what it takes to become part of their team.
