You can either apply through the Zurich Portal or apply using your LinkedIn account. Make sure you have an updated resume, and you must be able to prove that you are eligible to work in the country you are applying in.

 

Zurich Insurance’s Psychometric Tests

As part of the application process, you will be asked to complete several tests. These are used to help shortlist applicants to those who are most likely to be successful. The assessments include a cognitive abilities test, a personality inventory, and a situational judgment test. This combination of tests is a good predictor of long-term employee success.

  • The Wonderlic WonScore (Wonderlic Cognitive Assessment Test)
    The Wonderlic WonScore is a multiple-choice cognitive assessment, designed by the test company Wonderlic. This is the same test given to football players before being accepted into the NFL. The Wonderlic measures your cognitive reasoning through basic math questions, number series, inductive reasoning, verbal reasoning, and spatial reasoning.
    Job-seekers will have 12 minutes to complete the 50-question test. You may notice that the test questions seem to get more difficult as you go. The questions are designed to increase in difficulty to give a better overview of your ability to learn and retain new information. The more difficult the question, the more weight is given during scoring.
  • Situational Judgment Test (SJT)
    Situational judgment tests are psychometric tests that help show how job applicants respond in common workplace situations. Each question will consist of a typical scenario, and you will need to pick the answer that best matches how you would respond.
  • Personality Inventory
    Personality inventory is a common tool for determining which applicants are best suited to a role. Many personality tests commonly used in pre-employment use the Five-Factor method of assessing your main personality traits. The Five-Factor model measures your conscientiousness, agreeableness, openness, extraversion, and neuroticism to help build your personality profile. This is compared against an example profile that has been designed to model the best personality type for the position.
    Personality tests are multiple-choice. You will either need to pick descriptors that are either the most or the least like you or rank the answers on a scale of 1-5.
  • Other Tests

Interviews

The interview process may require several steps. You can prepare by running basic math drills and timing yourself, and reading non-fiction, and working with word puzzles to sharpen your reading comprehension. You can also work with the apps that are designed to work the memory centers of your brain and sharpen your reasoning skills. You will only have a few seconds to answer each test question. If you are doing math or puzzles to prepare for the test, try timing yourself so you are used to working under pressure. Remember not to spend too much time on a single question. It is advisable to make a guess and move on to the next one.

Personality and situational judgment tests require honesty. You want to show Zurich Insurance what your work personality is really like. Do not try to answer in a way you think sounds desirable. This is a mistake that has cost many people their chance at an interview.
