What Is Finastra’s Recruitment Process?

Application Process

You can search for positions with Finestra on their website and apply through their talent portal. You can also search and apply using your LinkedIn account.

Finastra’s Psychometric Tests

To help manage the volume of applications it receives Finestra utilizes pre-hire testing to select the best candidates to interview. The tests include both cognitive assessments, and a personality test.

CCAT

The Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test, or CCAT, is made up of 50 multiple-choice questions. You will have only 15 minutes to answer as complete as much of the assessment as you can. The test is similar to an IQ test and measures your critical thinking skills, and ability to learn new information. The CCAT has questions in three different categories.

Personality Test

Personality traits that are compatible with the company you are applying for play a huge role in job success and satisfaction. This is why all applicants with Finestra are given a personality test. Your ability to work under pressure, your ability to work with others, and your work-style, along with your main personality traits will all be reflected on the personality assessment.

Interviews

Your interviews with Finestra will be behavior-based, as well as technical. Your first interview will be a telephone interview, during which you will be asked basic questions about your past experience. You will also learn more details about the position you have applied for. During the face-to-face interviews, those who are seeking technical roles may have to demonstrate proficiency with coding or other skills that are important to the position.

How to Prepare for Finastra’s CCAT & Personality Tests?

The more prepared you are for the assessment tests, the more likely you are to get a score that will keep you in the running for the job you want. Use apps and word puzzles to help give your critical thinking skills a boost. Practice basic algebra equations, and do practice word problems, especially if you know that math is your weakness. Any tool at your disposal that will help you work on your problem-solving or critical thinking skills will help improve your chance of scoring well on the CCAT.

If you find that you are having problems with any questions, guess and move on. You will not be penalized for wrong answers. Most people who take the CCAT are unable to complete it in the allotted time.

The personality test is not something that can be studied for. Attempting to answer based on the answers you think the company wants, is how many test-takers end up not being a match. Be honest in your responses. Answer as though you are on the job and pick the answers that describe your work persona the best.

Finastra has only grown its business since it was created by the merger of Misys and D+H. If you are hoping to join a company that will continue to grow, so you can grow your career with it, then be sure you are prepared to take on all aspects of the hiring process. If you do this, then you are on your way to accepting an offer for your new job.
