What Is Chubb’s Insurance Hiring Process?

Application

You can begin your job search with Chubb in several different ways. You can look through the job openings posted on their website, create an online profile, and apply. You can also create an online profile and send a speculative application. If you apply this way, you will be notified as jobs that match your skill-set become available. You will receive an email to notify you that your application has been received. If your application matches the skills and core competencies required for the role, you will be contacted about the next steps in the process.

 

Chubb’s Psychometric Tests

You may be required to take an online assessment test before being scheduled for an interview. You may have to take skills-based tests, such as Excel proficiency tests, depending on what you have applied for. There are certain tests all job seekers can expect to see which include:

  • Verbal Reasoning Test – To ensure you are able to adequately understand verbal instructions and written information, candidates will be given a verbal reasoning test. This will consist of a series of paragraphs followed by multiple-choice questions about the passages you have just read.
  • Numerical Reasoning Test – Since many positions require the ability to work with numbers, job-seekers will be tested on their mathematical skill. This test is multiple choice.
  • Abstract Reasoning Test -To measure your proficiency with non-verbal information you will be given an abstract reasoning test. This will measure your ability to use logic by presenting you with various related shapes or patterns. You will need to use critical thinking skills to figure out the next part of each sequence. This test is multiple choice.

 

Interview

The interview process will start out with a screening interview. This may be conducted over the phone or as an online interview. This screening is used to help management decide if you really do meet the core requirements. If you successfully pass the screening, your next interview will be in-person with the hiring manager. Chubb encourages job candidates to ask questions during the interview about the company and the job requirements. They place emphasis on interviews being for the benefit of both the job-seeker and the interviewer.

 

Chubb’s Early Career Development Assessment Center

For those who are in the beginning stages of their career, the final step in the process is an assessment center. You will have several exercises to complete during the assessment center:

  • Analysis Exercise – You will be given a case study to read. After reading it you will be required to give a short presentation about your conclusions.
  • Group Exercise – Candidates will be placed into groups and given a topic to discuss to demonstrate how they interact with other people.
  • Competency-Based Interview – During this interview management will be attempting to see if you embody the core-competencies they are looking for. These are judgment, drive, execution, and influence.

 

How to Prepare for Chubb’s Aptitude Tests?

The online assessment tests can seem intimidating but with preparation, you can approach them with confidence. Familiarize yourself with the job requirements.
