What Is Bell Canada’s Hiring Process?

Application

The Bell Canada hiring process begins with filling out an online application. Applications can be found on the main website under the careers tab. Applicants for graduate positions and internships should also apply online. You can create a profile to receive alerts for new positions that open that may be of interest to you.

Bell Canada’s Online Tests

After uploading your application and resume, you will prompted to take several psychometric tests. These may vary slightly by position, but the tests most candidates can expect are:

  • Personality Questionnaire This questionnaire is a psychometric test designed to see how well a job-seekers work ethic and personality suit the corporate culture and the position they have applied for.
  • Verbal Reasoning Test These tests are designed to test how well you can understand verbal and written communication. These will also test your ability to problem solve using the information in front of you. These tests are multiple-choice and are timed.
  • Numerical Reasoning Test This will measure your ability to understand numbers, solve problems presented in graph form, and interpret numerical data. This test is multiple-choice.
  • Microsoft Excel Test- Many positions will require you to be proficient with Microsoft Excel, and this test is designed to measure a candidate’s knowledge and abilities with using Excel.

Video Interview

If your application and personality questionnaire meet the Bell Canada requirements, the next step is a video interview. You will receive an email with a link, and a date by which you must have the interview completed, candidates are generally given 48 hours. Questions will appear on the screen, and you will have a lag time of around 3 minutes to provide your answer. You will have around 4 to 6 questions to answer, and once the interview has begun you will not have a chance to do it over. Make sure your camera is positioned properly, you are dressed neatly, and that you have plenty of time in an undisturbed place to complete the virtual interview.

Face to Face Interview

The final step in the Bell Canada hiring process is the face to face interview. This interview generally has 2 or more members of the management team present. This final interview will be conducted using the STAR method ( situation, task, action, response.) So be prepared for in-depth questions about past job experience, and what you learned from it.
