What Is Bayada’s Hiring Process?
Applications
You can search for positions with Bayada on their website or through sites like LinkedIn. If applying online, you will apply directly for the position you are interested in. You will not be asked to create an account. You will need to upload an updated copy of your resume or CV and fill out a short form. You may also be contacted following an employee referral, or if you have a LinkedIn or Glassdoor account that shows a skill set that matches any openings.
Bayada’s Pre-Employment Testing
To help select the best candidates to interview, applicants will be contacted to set up an online test. You will be tested on your cognitive abilities, as well as your personality.
Bayada uses a Wonderlic WonScore test to help identify the best talent for the job. The Wonderlic is a timed cognitive abilities test. The questions show your abstract thinking ability, critical thinking, ability to learn and use new information, and your ability to understand complex ideas. The exam is 50 multiple-choice questions, and you will be given 12 minutes to answer as many as you can.
The questions are made up of basic math, reading comprehension, and sequences. These are arranged in no particular order. The questions will get more difficult as you proceed in the exam.
The personality exam is used to find job seekers with personalities that are best suited for the job. The Wonderlic Personality Inventory uses the 5 Factor Personality Model to measure your levels of cooperation, dependability, stress tolerance, sociability, and open-mindedness. These are all traits that can help determine long-term job success. The personality inventory has 120 multiple-choice questions and you will not be timed. On average it takes around an hour and a half to complete.
Your Wonderlic scores will be compared to those of other applicants. This gives an overview of the average scores and indicates who performed the best.
Interviews
You may have several interviews as part of the hiring process. You will have an initial phone interview during which you will discuss the scope of the job, the expectations, and they will answer any questions you may have. The next step is an in-person interview with a director, and will consist of behavioral questions. Be sure to have a list of references with you. Many applicants for Bayada jobs are asked to provide at least 5 references.
How to Prepare for Bayada’s Wonderlic Test?
To get the best score on the Wonderlic takes some time to study for it. Run drills in basic math until they start to become second nature. Practice reading comprehension through crosswords, and even just reading non-fiction. There are also online resources to help increase your cognitive skills. Since many of these resources are timed, they will help prepare you to stay calm when taking the Wonderlic. When taking the Wonderlic don’t panic if any one question seems too difficult. It is okay to make your best guess and move on to the next question.
The Personality Inventory does not require any preparation except careful thought. To get a true personality score you need to be honest when taking the assessment. Each question is weighted differently, and you should not attempt to “cheat” the test by picking only the answers you see as positive. It is better for your test results to be a true reflection of your workplace personality.
