You will then be able to upload your resume and answer the questions on the application.

Phone Interview

If your application seems promising, you will be contacted for a phone interview. During this interview, you will be asked about your job experience and education. There may be some questions about your career goals. The phone interview is a good chance for you to ask questions about the position you have applied for. This will help you decide if this job really is a good fit for you. Asking questions will also help you stand out in the recruiter’s mind as having a real interest in the position.

Adecco’s Online Assessment Tests

If all goes well during the phone interview, you will be sent a link to take online assessment tests. These tests will help them gauge your working style, test your competency at necessary tasks, and help give an idea about how well you will work on a team. The tests you can expect to take are:

  • Excel Test – This test will measure your proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This is a commonly used program in the workplace and necessary for many positions.

Situational judgment tests are tailored for the company that is giving the test. There are certain personality traits employers are looking for in their candidates. Adecco is looking for people who will fit into their corporate culture and their concept of “Happy at Work.” This test is multiple-choice, and the questions will all pertain to how you would respond in different situations.

How to Prepare for the Adecco Assessments?

Passing the assessment tests is key in moving along in the hiring process. It is important to prepare yourself for the tests, so you achieve the best outcome. Practicing your Microsoft Word and Excel skills will give you an advantage when taking the tests. Researching Adecco and its core values and corporate strategy will help you understand the traits they may be looking for in a prospective employee. Give yourself adequate time to take the tests, although certain sections may be timed, it is best if you block off a section of time to decrease the mental stress. Take them in an area that is quiet and free of distractions so you can focus. Read the directions thoroughly before taking each section. Skimming through may cause you to make mistakes that will negatively impact your score. Remember to stay calm. Online assessment tests are a common tool with most companies these days. Staying calm under pressure, and treating them as just another part of the job-hunting process to prepare for, will help you pass the tests, and make it all the way to the end of the hiring process.
