What Is the Hiring Process at SoFi?
After going through the open positions to find the one that suits your skills the best, submit an application online. Be sure to carefully go over the qualifications to make sure you meet them, so your application gets attention. You should receive an automatic email confirmation if your application has been submitted successfully.
After having a chance to review your application you will receive a call from a recruiter. The recruiter will go over the job and expectations with you in greater detail. If you have any questions now is the time to go over them with the recruiter. This conversation will help the recruiter, and you, decide if the position really is a good fit for you.
SoFi uses skills assessments to help identify the test candidates. The type of testing will vary depending on the job you have applied for and the skills needed for success in that position. Some of these tests may be given before you speak to a recruiter.
If you seem like a promising candidate, you will be invited to interview. SoFi has a very in-depth interview process, which is discussed below.
If everything has gone well, you will receive an offer. Your recruiter will discuss the details with you and help you through the process.
SoFi’s Interviews
Your interview may be done remotely through Zoom, or in person. SoFi interviews focus on what they refer to as the 3 P’s, People, Position, and Products. You will go through several rounds of interviews. They will be a mix of behavioral and technical for those going into technical roles. For behavior-based interviews many of the questions will relate to how you work and communicate with others, how you feel your role should be performed, and your knowledge of the company as well as what makes you excited to work for them.
If your interview is done virtually, make sure your background is tidy. The way you present yourself will be evaluated by your potential manager, and your background will influence their opinion. Make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal in the area you will be interviewing from. Failure to ensure a proper signal will make you seem unprepared and cause a negative impression.
