What Is Mediaocean’s Recruitment Process?
Application
To apply with Mediaocean search their careers page for your desired position and location. After you find it, you will be prompted to enter your email address before you are given access to the application form. You will also be able to upload your resume and cover letter. You can also submit your application and documents through LinkedIn.
Mediaocean’s Assessment Tests
To handle the volume of applications they receive, Mediaocean uses psychometric tests to help pinpoint the best candidates. After submitting your application you will be asked to take a cognitive reasoning test and a personality test. These will help determine which candidates have the focus and problem-solving skills that are required, along with the drive and personality traits that will make them a good fit.
CCAT – The Criteria Cognitive Assessment Test, often shortened to CCAT, is used to evaluate a job-seeker’s critical thinking skills, ability to problem-solve, and basic reasoning skills. The CCAT focuses on these 3 areas:
Your ability to solve basic algebra problems, work through word problems, and solve proportions, identify sequences, and find the missing piece, and your vocabulary and communication skills will all be tested with the CCAT.
Personality Test – Mediaocean has spent a great deal of time developing its corporate culture. This means that they know which personalities will fit and work well on their team and which may not. The personality questionnaire helps identify those traits that make an applicant a good fit. Motivation, teamwork, ethics, and judgment skills will all be identified with the help of the personality test.
Interview
After passing the aptitude test, you will be called for a phone screening. During this call, a member of HR will contact you, and go over the details of your resume. You will be given more details of the position, and have a chance to ask any questions you may have. The next interview will be more technical and will be conducted either in person or by Skype. You may have one more skype or in-person interview following the second that is more behavior-based.
How to Prepare for Mediaocean’s Online Assessments?
You will need to demonstrate strong skills on the aptitude tests to be able to continue through the hiring process. For this reason, you will need to find ways to practice and strengthen your skills. Working with word puzzles can help improve your critical thinking skills, and there are apps available that help you strengthen the cognitive functions of your brain. Practice math word problems, and work on solving simple equations to sharpen your number skills.
Be honest on the personality test. You want the result to be a true reflection of your personality. Do not pick the answer that seems like the one the company wants to see. Instead, carefully think through your answers from a professional perspective.
Mediaocean offers a diverse and inclusive workplace for those who are interested in the world of digital advertising. Take time out to practice for the aptitude tests to ensure that your results make you stand out from the start.
